Across the world, girls face the double discrimination of their gender and age, leaving them suffering at the bottom of the social ladder. Girls are denied access to health services and education, and also face extremely high levels of poverty, violence, abuse, and harassment. A recent research conducted in India revealed that 52% of girls in India have never been enrolled in a school. Only 53% of habitation have a primary school and only 20% have a secondary school. At Uniglobe, we believe that providing the girl child with quality education and basic health care facilities is our primary responsiblity. In order to give a tangible shape to this commitment, Uniglobe Travel has partnered with Plan India to support their international project 'Because I am a girl'. The objective of this partnership is to launch a 'Modern school program' in Samastipur, Saran and Vaishali districts of Bihar. But we can't do it without your support.
